Wystawa przy ulicy Wileńskiej zostanie oparta na pracach cyfrowych, które powstały w drodze między Warszawą a Wilnem. Ana Vostruchovaitė pracuje z tematem swojej mikrohistorii, bazuje na dorastaniu w mniejszości kulturowej i etnicznej i towarzyszącemu jej przez całe życie poczuciu odrębności. Ana urodziła się i wychowała na Wileńszczyźnie, w mieszaninie kultur i zwyczajów. Artystka studiowała na Wydziale Malarstwa Akademii Sztuk Pięknych w Warszawie.
Od rozpoczęcia studiów ciągle jest w drodze. W sztuce Any Vostruchovaitė odzwierciedlają się wyzwania współczesnego świata, cyfrowy nomadyzm i masowa suburbanizacja.
Współczesne miasta w coraz większym stopniu mają splątane korzenie. „Pamiętaj o bagażu”, komunikat słyszany w środkach komunikacji, to również metafora tego, co zabieramy ze sobą, żyjąc między miejscami.
The exhibition at Wileńska (Vilnius) Street will be based on digital works that were created on the way between Warsaw and Vilnius. Ana Vostruchovaitė works with the theme of her microhistory, based on growing up in a cultural and ethnic minority and the sense of difference that accompanied her throughout her life. Ana was born and raised in the Vilnius Region, in a mixture of cultures and customs. The artist studied at the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw.
Since starting her studies, she has been constantly on the road. Ana Vostruchovaitė’s art reflects the challenges of the modern world, digital nomadism and mass suburbanization.
Modern cities increasingly have intertwined roots. „Remember to take your luggage”, the message heard on public transport, is also a metaphor for what we take with us when living between places.
